A Blue-Chip US business which provides a globally acclaimed innovative technology now requires a lawyer to support with EMEA international trade matters where you will be responsible for providing specialist advice on cutting-edge areas of developing international trade law to the businesses on a broad range of import, export, and sanctions regulatory and commercial matters. This unique and exciting opportunity will offer the successful candidate to be part of a collaborative, tight-knit team that is leading exciting and pioneering global initiatives as part of a much loved global business.
You will offer a very broad commercial focus where you’ll work directly with the businesses and act as the main counsel to provide strategic input on global expansion, import/export compliance, logistics, transportation, and supply chain commercial transactions and initiatives. You will work alongside a team of lawyers dedicated to international trade matters across the globe who continually develop innovative solutions to ensure a seamless operation for international trade, sales, transportation and supply chain solutions. You will provide day-to-day guidance on trade regulations, and advise on upcoming regulatory changes and enforcement trends including in new and emerging areas of law. As this role is very commercially focused it’s imperative that you resolve issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, including pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. You will develop and improve trade policies and procedures, including working cross-functionally with technology teams to implement automated solutions.
The ideal candidate will have trained and/or practiced at an International Law Firm with a minimum of 10yrs + PQE gain in International trade law, experience gained from a global tech company would be advantageous. As this is a Hands-on project management type of role, it would be advantageous to show evidence of being capable to work autonomously with a natural ability to show initiative with decision making whilst relished being challenged. For this role, candidates will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills and confidence to be a partner to business stakeholders. Must have exceptional organisational skills and be capable to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous environments. The successful candidate will be entitled to an excellent salary, generous stocks and a very attractive signing-on bonus, which easily exceeds the majority of current compensation packages which US Blue-Chip Tech Businesses.
